Water is a vital element of the environment. It is the part of parcel of human, animals and plants. We cannot live a day without pure water. There are many causes of water pollution. Man pollutes water by throwing waste into it. By using chemical fertilizers and pesticides in the fields Farmers pollute water.
Mills and factories are also the cause of of water pollution. Poisonous chemicals and waste products are thrown into rivers and canals by mills and factories and water gets polluted.
Unsanitary latrines standing on the bank of the rivers and canals and unsafe drains result serious water pollution. Watercrafts such as steamers, launches, and engine boats contaminate water by dumping oil, throwing food waste and disposing human waste into water.
Super tankers and power houses also contribute much to contaminate water. Polluted water is a threat for human being. Moreover, polluted water carries many water borne diseases like cholera, diarrhea etc. Every year many people die for that reasons.
People should be conscious of the terrible effects of water pollution. To minimize water pollution the Government, common people and mass media can play a vital role.
